admin I really dislike them. I know it's not any of my business, but my mouth literally fell open when I read them. They are the names of, the British chef, Jamie Oliver's daughters...

I have to admit, I was quite surprised when I first found out the names of Jamie Oliver's daughters - I just didn't think he seemed like the type of person to pick such weird, celebrity-ish names. I used to think his older two daughters (Poppy Honey and Daisy Boo) had cute names - they were unusual, but they weren't TOO awful; the main issue I had with them was that although they sounded very cute for little girls, I couldn't imagine them on a grown woman - I think they'd sound way too cutesy and childish. I was shocked when I heard his youngest daughter's name though - I think Petal Blossom Rainbow is awful. Although the name is cute in theory, it sounds more like the name of a fairy or a little girl's doll, not an actual child! I must confess that Petal is one of my guilty pleasure names - I've loved it since I was about 15 - but I'd never actually use it in reality, and it's just way too much when it's paired with Blossom and Rainbow. I think the names all sound more like names that little girl's would pick for their dolls, not names that parents would pick for a child. :]

I agree celebrities are out of control with these names. Don’t they realize that the kids have to grow up with them? Your name is part of your identity and can affect the way people perceive you.
I think the celebrity parents should find another creative outlet. paint a picture or write a poem but don’t burden the children with these silly names.

If you’ve got plenty of money, your kids probably won’t get made fun of for their names when they’re little. As for the rest of us… I can only imagine what kids would’ve said growing up if my name was "Petal Blossom" or "Poppy Honey." I do like Daisy, but what’s with "Boo"?

Daisy & Poppy have been names forever, but the others are quite unique. I don’t know that I would use any of the others, personally.
